Winterberg is located in the German Sauerland, the region with the most marked hiking trails in all of Germany at every level.
Winterberg is the highest town in this area and is therefore also known as the roof of Sauerland with many beautiful views, dense forests, green mountain meadows and typical German half-timbered houses.
